Can Geo Education Resources
The best way to prepare your students is to incorporate geography learning into your classroom daily. Can Geo Education has a library of resources that can help—and they are free and bilingual!
Check out the Canadian Geographic website for news about current events and interesting geography-related articles. The blog is updated a few times a week, so be sure to check back frequently.
Canadian Geographic Education loves making free maps and we have heaps of them! You can download a tiled map or reserve a Giant Floor Map on themes such as space, history, energy production, biodiversity, and more. There are also resources available to download for free, such as climate change infographics and fieldwork guides.
We have several additional sites that go in-depth on specific themes, such as:
- Paths to Reconciliation - about residential schools in Canada
- The Anthropocene Education Program - about human impacts on the planet
- The Re:Location Program - about stories of community relocations
Explore these sites for great lesson plans and activity ideas! If you have any questions about our resources, please contact [email protected].
